I met my one of my regular student Ms. Y. After one and a half year, we had finally met! 😊
Iwas assigned to be her teacher on her last day. We started our day by greeting and exchanging gifts. She gave me great things from Japan and I gave her sweets from the Philippines. Both of us happily received the gifts. 🍫🍬 Around 9, we started the lesson. The student was already expressive and has a good command of grammar so there weren’t so many things to be corrected, but I encouraged her to expound her answers more so she did as what I told her. 📖 The lesson was only until 12 noon since we ate our lunch and we already planned out that we would go out around 1 pm to a mall.
After eating our delicious sauteed chayote and pork steak for lunch we took a rest and went to SM North EDSA at 1 pm. 🕋 As her request, we started buying some souvenirs, I challenged her to try asking her way to the supermarket and asking where this and that item can be found.
Second thing we did, was eating a halo-halo. She took my next challenge to ask to a concierge where she could eat a halo-halo and she was the one who ordered a halo-halo as well in Iceberg.
I think it was really a great opportunity for her to engage herself in an actual situation. 👭Aside from those, we walked around, she tried talking to other people, and she ordered a well-known milk tea in a Chatime store.
That day was also the Halloween party of my school so she was able to witness and to enjoy the party. 👹👺 Overall, she told me she learned so much and enjoyed her stay in the Philippines for 4 days. 😄👍

今日は、1年半受け持っていた生徒のYさんについにお会いしました! 😊
私は彼女の最後のレッスンを受け持ちました。挨拶からはじまり、プレゼントを交換しました。
日本からの素敵なプレゼントをいただき、フィリピンのお菓子のプレゼントを渡し、楽しくプレゼント交換ができました。🍫🍬
9時からレッスンを開始しました。表現力も文法も良くほとんど直すところがなかったのですが、もう少し詳しく答えるように伝えると、すぐに良くなりました。📖
レッスンは12時までだったので、昼食を食べてからショッピングモールに１時頃に行く計画を立てました。🕋
私たちは(フィリピン料理の)sauteed chayote とポークステーキを美味しく食べた後、ゆっくりして、午後１時にSM North EDSA モール (フィリピンに有るショッピングセンターです)に行きました。彼女は何かお土産を買いたいとのことだったので、お土産を探しにスーパーへ向かいました。そこで彼女に、自分で欲しいものがどこにあるのか聞き、探し出すチャレンジをしてみるように言いました。
次にハロハロを食べようということになったので、次のチャレンジとして(彼女が直接)コンシェルジェにどこでハロハロを食べることが出来るのかを尋ね、（フィリピンのアイス･デザートの専門店の）アイスバーグ〈Iceberg〉で、ハロハロのオーダーをして、ハロハロを食べることが出来ました。
彼女が実践した体験はすごくいい機会だと感じました。👭この他にも、行きかう人に話しかけたり、ミルクティーで有名なChatimeでオーダーしたりもしました。
この日は学校のハロウィンパーティーの日でもあり、彼女も一緒に参加して楽しめました。👹👺彼女は、いろんなことを学びながら、4日間楽しくフィリピンで過ごせたと話してくれました😄👍
